Fundraising promise
Last updated October 2026
Age Related Diseases & Health Trust (“AgeTrust”, charity number 1124019) relies on the generosity of individuals and partners. In return we promise to fundraise honestly, respectfully and in line with the Code of Fundraising Practice. This is what you can expect from us.
We will be clear and honest
- We will tell you clearly what your gift will be used for and never exaggerate our need or our impact.
- Our registered name, charity number and contact details appear on all fundraising materials.
- If we work with a fundraising partner or event organiser, we will say so and make sure they follow the same standards.
We will respect you
- We will never pressure you to give, and we will never contact you in a way you have asked us not to.
- You can change how and whether we contact you at any time by calling 0121 820 3901 or emailing info@agetrust.co.uk.
- We take particular care when fundraising from people who may be vulnerable, and we will not accept a gift we believe someone is not in a position to make.
- We will protect your personal information as set out in our privacy policy.
We will use your money carefully
- We keep overheads low so that almost every pound goes into befriending visits, phone calls, the shed and the costs of running those services well.
- We claim Gift Aid only where you have told us you are eligible, and we keep the records HMRC requires.
- Our accounts are independently examined and filed with the Charity Commission every year.
- Donations given for a specific purpose will be used for that purpose; if that becomes impossible, we will contact you.
Monthly gifts, cancellations and refunds
You can cancel a monthly gift at any time through your bank or by contacting us. If a donation has been made in error, or you change your mind within 14 days of a one-off gift, contact us and we will refund it.
Gifts in wills
If you are considering leaving a gift to AgeTrust in your will, we will provide the information your solicitor needs and will respect your wishes and privacy. We will never ask to be involved in the drafting of your will.
If something goes wrong
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our fundraising, please tell us using our complaints policy. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Fundraising Regulator.
